Ovex Family Pack - 4 Threadworm Treatment Tablets
Ovex Family Pack is a simple, effective single‑dose treatment for threadworm infection, recommended for most adults and children aged 2 years and older. It is designed for family use so all members (except pregnant or breastfeeding women and children under 2) can be treated simultaneously to reduce the risk of reinfection. Children aged 1–2 years should only be treated under medical supervision and only if no suitable alternative exists. Each pack contains four single‑dose tablets. The medicine is for oral use only and may be chewed or swallowed whole; crush the tablet before giving it to a young child. Ovex Suspension may be considered for young children who cannot swallow tablets. If symptoms persist or worsen after a few days, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If reinfection occurs, a second dose may be recommended after two weeks. The active ingredient is mebendazole 100 mg per tablet. Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycollate, talc, maize starch, sodium saccharin, magnesium stearate, hydrogenated cottonseed oil, orange flavour, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium lauryl sulphate and Orange Yellow S (E110). This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (≈23 mg) per tablet and is essentially sodium‑free. Note that E110 may cause allergic reactions in some people. Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Do not use if you are pregnant or have had a bad reaction to any ingredient. Keep out of sight and reach of children and do not use after the expiry date. If anyone takes too many tablets, contact your doctor or your nearest A&E and take the leaflet and pack with you.| Directions |
