Ferrous Sulfate Tablets are one of a group of medicines called iron supplements and are used for the prevention and treatment of iron-deficiency anaemia. Lack of iron in the body leads to a reduction in the number of red blood cells. These medicines are formulated to replace iron in the body for the production of red blood cells, which help store and carry oxygen in the blood. If you have fewer red blood cells than is normal, your organs and tissues won't get as much oxygen as they usually would. This can commonly lead to tiredness and lack of energy, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and a pale complexion.
