Lactulose Solution
Constipation is a very common problem that affects people of all ages. It means either going to the toilet less frequently than usual to empty your bowels, or passing hard or painful stools.
Lactulose is broken down in the body by using water - this water then softens stools and eases the constipation. It is best used if you increase your fibre intake, drink plenty of fluids and exercise more regularly. It can be used safely in both adults and children. The normal dose is three 5ml spoonful’s daily however read the label carefully before use.
